Wild Melaleuca


Although the Melaleuca tree is not native to the United States, it grows in large quantities throughout South Florida and produces large amounts of nectar that bees use to make honey.  The melaleuca tree is also closely related to the Manuka tree which produces honey that has such powerful healing properties that hospitals will use it to heal difficult to treat wounds.
