The highest quality Propolis is made by bees that live in the forests of Brazil and collect sap from the Baccharis tree. This is know as Green Propolis.
Propolis is a natural product that bees actually create from a combination of tree sap and beeswax. Bees make propolis to help maintain and keep their hive clean. Small cracks and openings are often filled with this sticky substance. Additionally, studies have shown that propolis has natural antibiotic, anti-fungal, and antiviral properties. Because of these properties, bees use it to clean and sanitize the hive.
Green Propolis:
Green propolis get its name from its greenish color. Baccharis dracunculifolia, the main botanical source of Brazilian green propolis, has been studied for its ulcer helping activity.
