Description

Taste

The taste of this honey is sweet, flowery, and earthy.  Along with being a favorite source of nectar for bees to make this prized honey, the fruit that resembles a grape can be eaten or is often used for making jams.

Location:

Our hives are located in areas of southern Florida near the coast where the Sea Grape Trees grow naturally.  These trees grow primarily in the tropics with south Florida being the only place in the United States that they grow naturally.  The flowers from this tree are a major source of nectar for Honey bees along the coast.  Honey bees use this nectar of the Sea Grape Tree to make this honey.

Uses

BBQ and Marinades

The robustness of this honey makes it perfect for BBQ and Marinades.

Honey for Cough

A darker honey like Sea Grape is recommended when treating a cough due to its higher levels of nutrients when compared to a lighter honey.

Coffee

This honey goes well in coffee or tea and will add a new twist to that old boring variety.

Available:

Only available here online or at one of our South Florida Farmers Market locations.  We do not sell our honey in stores.

Love the honey. I wish I would have gotten more while I was in Florida. Trying to buy on line. However, out of stock. Hope it comes back soon.
