The taste of this honey is sweet and robust. Along with being a favorite source of nectar for bees to make this prized honey the tree has been cultivated for centuries as a source for Heart of Palm.

Our hives are located in areas of southern Florida where the Cabbage Palm Tree (Sabal palmetto) grow naturally and in large quantities.  These trees grow primarily in the southern United States which makes this a unique honey to this area.  The Sabal Palm is the official state tree of Florida and South Carolina. The flowers from this plant are a major source of nectar for Honey Bees in this area.  Honey bees use this nectar of the Cabbage Palm to make this honey.

BBQ and Marinades

The robustness of this honey makes it perfect for BBQ and Marinades.

Honey for Cough

A darker honey like Cabbage Palm is recommended when treating a cough due to its higher levels of nutrients when compared to a lighter honey.

This honey goes well in coffee and will change up that old boring variety.

Only available here online or at one of our South Florida Farmers Market locations.  We do not sell our honey in stores.
